I. Platform for Semiconductor Process Equipment and Materials

NCIR can fulfill the domestic industry's needs of the advanced process technology for next-generation semiconductor. NCIR has been dedicated to making breakthrough contributions to the semiconductor industry in novel material R&D, process technology, defect analysis, etc. NCIR supports the current academic research needs on the material properties and in-situ monitoring applications of novel 2D TMDs materials. NCIR also assists the domestic venders to enter the high value-added process equipment supply chain. It is expected to improve domestic process and equipment inspection capabilities and incubate high-level R&D manpower to enhance the global competitiveness of Taiwan's semiconductor industry.

II. R&D Hub for Precision Optical Systems

NCIR establishes the world-leading R&D Hub for academia collaboration, airborne and spaceborne remote sensing system. It can provide high-precision optical components, lens, optical instrument to support academia research in universities and space missions. NCIR provides customized R&D services such as meter-scale aspherical optical payloads, ultra-precision optical lens and optical payloads for low earth orbit satellites, and optical payloads for cube satellites, etc. NCIR is devoted to promoting the transfer of high-end lens technology to local manufacturers, upgrading the domestic capabilities, and connecting the domestic semiconductor and defense technology industry chains, assisting manufacturers in implementing technology, and driving independent R&D capabilities. NCIR also makes efforts to cultivate high-level talents related to precision optical system design and fabrication in order to enhance Taiwan's semiconductor, defense and space industry technology.

III. Platform for Advanced Organ-on-a-chip Technology & Development

NCIR implements alternative technology R&D project and establishes an organ-on-a-chip verification service platform conforming to international regulations. The platform develops the design, manufacturing, sampling and packaging of organ-on-a-chip technology. It provides process optimization and trial production linking services. It also assists the academia in developing forward-looking alternative technology. The service items of NCIR's trial production and third-party verification platform include microfluidic chip manufacturing and testing, cell culture and custom module engineering, trial mass production translation services, integrated validation and safety verification, etc. NCIR collaborates with National Center for Biomodels (NCB) in the animal experiment comparisons, jointly establishing a multi-validation platform, and organizing a third-party verification laboratory alliance and an alternative technology industry alliance. It aims to promote the applications and strive for the international market.
